What is a JUST ONE card?
The Good News Goods JUST ONE card is a paper card for your wallet that serves as a constant reminder to make one Fair Trade purchase from our Fair Trade certified producer, Trade as One.
The accompanying JUST ONE video is meant to be shown before handing out the JUST ONE cards.
How do we use the JUST ONE cards & video?
After showing the JUST ONE video about the power of our spending choices (during a chosen service or gathering), distribute JUST ONE cards to members and ask them to place them in front of one of their credit cards. Every time they open their wallet, this will be a reminder to buy JUST ONE Fair Trade item from our global producers.
Talking Points will also be provided if you wish to further the conversation from the pulpit or stage.
How do we use the JUST ONE card to make online purchases?
The front of the JUST ONE card provides you with a webpage: tradeasone.com/goodnews. Once you are on the webpage click on Shop. You will be directed to Trade as One’s shopping page, where you can browse through products and make your online purchases. Trade as One will then ship products to the designated address.
By logging onto Good News Goods’ landing page on Trade as One’s website, Trade as One can track Good News Goods’ purchases in order to deposit 10% of our annual proceeds to the Texas Baptist Offering for World Hunger.
Is there a fee?
No, but a contribution to the Texas Baptist Offering for World Hunger is encouraged. The amount is up to your church’s discretion.
Can our church do JUST ONE any time of the year?
Yes, as long as the date is first communicated and approved with a Good News Goods consultant.
Can anyone use my card?
Yes, You can use your card and then share it with friends and family, or contact us to order more.
What do we need to do to get started?
