What is Good News Goods?

Good News Goods is a ministry of the Texas Baptist Christian Life Commission, designed to give churches a fun, mission-driven way to shop in a global market environment. Good News Goods products fund international development projects, and every sale supports the Texas Baptist Offering for World Hunger. This initiative gives church members an opportunity to shop with a heart for missions by supporting businesses that fight human trafficking, extreme poverty, HIV/AIDS and civil war.

Good News Goods was officially launched in January 2009, but several churches piloted Good News Goods markets and Trading Posts in the fall of 2008.

Who does Good News Goods work with?

Texas Baptist Offering for World Hunger
Good News Goods is an affiliate of the Texas Baptist Offering for World Hunger.  10% of annual proceeds are deposited into their foundation and benefit their relief and development ministries in Texas, North America, and around the world.

Trade as One
Our partner and supplier is Trade as One, a Christian Fair Trade organization dedicated to using fair trade practices and long-term relationships with global south producers as a means of poverty alleviation, economic development, and holistic healing for the poorest of the poor.  Read more about our partnership.
